Proposed solution
Key factors
The project was divided into phases. Each M 365 service was implemented separately for the entire group. As part of the project, one of the key elements to design and implement was simplified access for business users to the services, a single identity and strong authorization. Other key business drivers that were identified:
- Increase productivity and end-user satisfaction.
- Reducing operating costs.
- Reduce time to deliver solutions to the end user.
- Increasing the level of security.
- Ability to respond quickly to changes in the market and business needs.
Benefit provided
- Users covered by the project: 8550.
- Easy and secure access to the internal environment and the cloud.
- After the transformation, the customer can quickly deploy new solutions for all employees based on a centralized M 365 and SharePoint infrastructure.
- Using the M 365 Teams platform, end users can quickly communicate and collaborate in project teams. All data is stored in SharePoint Online.
- All transferred users benefit from a standardized platform tailored to specific business needs.
- Reducing operating costs by 14%.
- During the migration, the client had the opportunity to modify business processes, which became more efficient and easier to control with PowerBi reports.
Added value
- Microsoft 365 was chosen because it was the easiest to implement.
- A strong authorization mechanism has been introduced for end users.
- Access to applications in the cloud is more secure compared to previous on-prem access.
- Service availability is higher than any on-prem infrastructure.
Conclusions of the project
- Change management communication is key to success in global projects.
- The changes should be preceded, with a well-prepared information campaign.
- Implementing such a solution has brought great security benefits, but can be challenging for the end user.
