Ivanti Endpoint Manager can manage Windows systems using agent software. As a rule there is only one management system agent inside client operating system. Is it possible Ivanti EPM agent and Microsoft Configuration Manager client?
The answer is Yes. There is an example of EPM agent installation on computer managed by Configuration Manager.
A test machine (Windows 10 client system) with Configuration Manager client installed was used.
System WIN-CMCLIENT13 was discovered by Ivanti EPM, but EPM agent is absent. Agent remote installation can be performed if Remote Registry service is started (default disabled).
Remote Registry service was reconfigured and started. The remote Ivanti agent installation can run now. Agent directories on disk C: appears:
LanDesk (Ivanti) services can be observed:
Computer should be restarted after finishing agent installation.
A full manageable system can be found after successful agent installation and approving the new machine inside Ivanti console.
You can see that EPM agent installation is not blocked by CM client existence. There is no services conflict and successful instalation can be performed.
