We are starting a series of 6 videos, during which we will present condensed knowledge, tips and hints about Veeam software.
Did you know that 21% of people have never backed up and 34% of all computers are already infected by the malware?
Therefore, together with Tom Turk i Wojtek Ceglinski we decided to introduce you to the knowledge of one of the leading backup data backup solutions.
What can you expect?
We'll start with a few words about licensing and, more specifically, the new features of Veeam, i.e. universal license (VUL) To protect all loads and in any environment.
The third video is a tip on Office 365 backup, i.e. best practicesabout which MUST keep in mind when planning and implementing security projects.
Speaking of best practice, there's no shortage of video on worst practice. Among the most common bad practices is implementing theoretical assumptions of the system without first verifying performance or testing functionality on a production environment. Remember that backup doesn't give you the same fast recovery as a machine replica - also don't forget about disaster recovery.
One survey conducted by Veeam Software shows that 80% customers do not test their backups more often than once a month. This is certainly not a good practice. On why backup verification is so important will be told in the penultimate video in our 'Thursdays with Veeam' series.
And finally, as the icing on the cake, Tomek Turek of Veeam will talk about
o protection against ransomware And scanning the backup before returning to production. It will be technical, it will be factual, it will be concretely.
You are welcome!
