Ivanti EPM allowed for patch installations as a "Repair Task" or using the Rollout Project software distribution mechanism. These methods can still be used, but there is a new option for automating patch installation referred to as a "Patch Campaign"[1].
The installation of EPM 2020.1 must be updated (the Service Update 1 patch introduced the functionality, but to use it you need to install at least SU3) or higher) for the new functionality to be available. Already when you start the console, you can check if it meets the requirements.

In the absence of a suitable patch, install it:

The main change can be seen in the console, where tools Security and Compliance now include a new item Patch Automation.

This is where the "Patch Campaign" is placed. The new mechanism is designed to automate patch testing and installation tasks. The scheduler of this tool is adapted to timing relative to "Patch Tuesday", which is particularly convenient for patch management in a Windows environment.
The tool facilitates testing on a small set of pilot computers (to catch fixes with serious errors), then a larger test group (this is where rare errors are revealed), and finally a set of production computers. Three steps (and sets of computers) is a fairly reasonable division, although of course the mechanism allows you to create a preset number of steps.
Ivanti has a blog dedicated to "Patch Tuesday" [2], where it's easy to get an idea of what the next month brings.

Of course, in addition to the graphics, which provide a summary, we also have a monthly summary of vulnerabilities and patches issued.
The new functionality facilitates Patch Management using Ivanti EPM.
