Ivanti Endpoint Manager manages systems through an agent. Usually there is one management system agent on the computer. Is it possible for an EPM agent and a Configuration Manager client to coexist? It turns out that yes. Below is an example of installing the EPM agent on a computer already managed by Configuration Manager.
Windows 10, a Configuration Manager client, was used as a test machine.
The WIN-CMCLIENT13 system has been detected on the Ivanti EPM side, but as you can see, there is no EPM agent. It will not be possible to perform a push installation without enabling the Remote Registry service on the system, which is disabled by default.
Now you can start the remote installation. Once the process starts, the directories on the client's disk appear
LanDesk (Ivanti) services can also be observed.
Installation usually requires a reboot of the computer:
Finally, after rebooting and approving the client (Approve), we get a normal, manageable system.
So, as you can see, the presence of the CM client does not block the installation of the EPM agent. The services wpriawdzed by the management systems do not interfere with each other, so the installation is possible.
