When adding a new Site System, it is necessary to check whether the Primary Site Server account (computer account) has administrative privileges over the new server. It turns out that this test is performed in a rather clever way.
First, the files needed to run the test system service are copied to the Windows directory.

The test service process runs on the LocalSystem account, which allows you to check whether the computer account has permissions on the remote server. Traces of the executed tests are contained in the SMSTSVC.LOG log of the test service

Information about SMSTSVC.LOG is included in the product documentation[1].
Since administrator access to the remote server is being tested, a Security log entry should be preserved on it. Indeed, such records can be found:
Â

So, the test service (one or more of them) is running on the CM Site Server machine, access traces can be found on remote servers, but the smstsvc_test test service does not appear there.
