Summer is in full swing, vacations, vacations, and in the meantime there is a lot going on in the world of Microsoft 365!
While there were quite a few announcements back in June, July's Microsoft Inspire 2020 has already delivered a ton of new features. Microsoft Teams is enriched with several important features for collaboration, conferencing and meetings:
- Together mode That is, placing the characters of meeting participants on 1 stage; expanding the number of cameras to 9×9.
- Breakout Rooms; unfastening windows for meetings; news in chat rooms.
- Plus some news in managing Teams.
- Dataflex/Oakdale is a simplified Common Data Service available for applications in Teams. This opens the way to build much more advanced applications in, for example, PowerApps for Teams without having to use the paid version of CDS (now Dataflex Pro/Oakdale?). By the way, let me tell you why the name was changed at the last minute.
- Microsoft Lists! A new application in Microsoft 365 that allows you to quickly build lists (but not SharePoint lists!) for notifications, oboarding, etc. Plus views, rules and integration with Teams!
- Integrating To Do with Teams! Finally! This opens the way for building teams with a unified taxi system in To Do.
